hello. well i've seen some contraversey lately over brandon lee's death and i have seen all the interviews and know a bunch about guns so i am pretty credible for the story, so here it is. so yah... brandon lee died on the set of the crow. well there is a seen in the crow when eric draven gets shot repetitively. when they shot the scene the people making the movie pretty much cut corners. in a shooting scene you are supposed to use blanks which means that the lead tip of the bullet is just cardboard and it won't penetrate or hurt anyone. however, like i said the ammunition people decided to make their own blanks to save money and time. one day 2 weeks before they shot the scene the gunmen were practicing and they used a revolver and the bullets rotate in the barrel, but one of the bullets wasn't a blank, it was a full 45 caliber bullet and about 2 people heard a pop come from the gun which ended up being the lead tip(the part that penetrates) of a bullet. but no one checked the gun after. so 2 weeks later they went to shoot the gun with the blanks, but the lead tip was still stuck in the barrel and since the blanks are still filled with some gunpowder just to make a blast... the lead tip left there made the blank a full blown 45 caliber round. soooooo, the bullet penetrated brandon lee's abdomen and the cap got lodged in his spine. doctors worked desperately for 5 or so hours to try to remove it but it didn't work out. he died on March 31,1993. basically it comes down to the directors and producers or someone should have at least gotten charged with negligence, but since so many people were involved they never ended up charging anyone. it sucks and it's definitely not justice. i personally think that the production company should have gotten charged with negligence and for cutting corners because it is illegal though most people think it's not.
